GOOD DESIGN AWARD.

Founded in 1950, the Good Design Award is one of the most prestigious and most traditional design prizes in the world.
In recent years, BMW has received it on several occasions: in 2010 for the BMW 5 Series Sedan, in 2011 for the BMW 6 Series Convertible, the BMW 6 Series Coupé, the BMW 1 Series M Coupé and the BMW ActiveE and in 2012 for the BMW 3 Series Sedan, the BMW M5 Sedan, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé and the BMW M6 Coupé.

IF DESIGN AWARD.

The iF (Industrie Forum Design e.V.) Design Award is one of the world's leading design competitions.
In 2014, this prestigious award was won by the BMW 2 Series Coupé, BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, BMW 4 Series Coupé and BMW X5. One year earlier, the BMW 3 Series Sedan and BMW 3 Series Touring had scooped the honours. In 2012, it was Gold for the BMW 6 Series Coupé, with the BMW 1 Series, BMW 6 Series Convertible and BMW 1 Series M Coupé also receiving prizes in the same year.

GREEN GOOD DESIGN AWARD.

The Green Good Design Award forms part of the world's oldest design prize, the international Good Design. This special award focuses on contemporary design and its sustainability credentials.
In this way, BMW has been acknowledged several times for its forward-looking car design: In 2010 for the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics and in 2012 for the BMW i3 Concept and the BMW i8 Concept.

RED DOT DESIGN AWARD.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world. In recent years, BMW has enjoyed many triumphs: In 2014, the BMW 2 Series Coupé, BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo and the new BMW 4 Series models took the honours. In 2013, the BMW 1 Series (3-door), BMW 3 Series Touring and BMW M6 Gran Coupé were among the winners. In 2012, BMW triumphed four times, with prizes for the BMW 6 Series Coupé, BMW 1 Series M Coupé, BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé and BMW M5 Sedan.

GERMAN DESIGN AWARD.

The German Design Award is the premium prize of the German Design Council, which is one of the world's leading design-competence centres.
This prize has been won by BMW several times: in 2012 for the BMW 5 Series Touring, in 2013 for the BMW 6 Series Convertible and the BMW 1 Series (5-door) and in 2014 for the BMW i3.

AUTOMOTIVE BRAND CONTEST.

The Automotive Brand Contest is an international design competition for automobile brands initiated by the German Design Council.
The success of BMW in this competition is more than impressive: in 2011, the winners were SESTOSENSO by Paul Cocksedge, BMW 328 Hommage and BMW 6 Series Coupé. In 2012, the prize went to the BMW i8 Concept Spyder (Design and Innovation of the Year), the BMW Zagato Coupé (image film), the BMW Design Studio Live (Event) and the design of BMW 3 Series Sedan and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé. Furthermore, the BMW Design team was awarded the title Team of the Year. In 2013, the honours were scooped by the BMW Z4, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW M6 Gran Coupé and Ronan und Erwan Bouroullec’s QUIET MOTION installation.
